**HR Officer (Generalist)**

**Location**: Plymouth, UK

**Salary**:Up to £36,357 DOE

**Working Pattern**:Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 15:30

We're looking for a knowledgeable HR Officer to join our busy HR Team at Rittal-CSM. Your role as HR Officer will be to work with the wider HR team and the business offering advice and employee relation solutions to a variety of issues as well as projects. You will need to be comfortable with undertaking admin tasks on a day-to-day as well as more involved HR Officer duties.

**What we're looking for**:

- You will ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified and will have experience working in a similar role. You should have a proactive, can-do approach to your daily tasks.
- You will act as the first point of contact for all general HR enquires, whilst supporting the team with recruitment and absence related issues. You will help maintain and administer the HR inbox and work with the wider team to support with all administration around the employee life cycle to include new starters, offer letters/contracts of employment, right to work checks, inductions, disciplinaries and grievances.
- You will provide accurate and timely data to key stakeholders regarding recruitment, organisational development, training, absences, occupational health, and any other HR enquiries, as well as provide HR reports and recommendations.
- You will provide support for line managers in all aspects of human resources, ensuring that all legal and statutory obligations are adhered to, and best practice is followed.
- You will support formal meetings as and when required in the preparation and issuing of the relevant documentation, including meeting notes and outcome letters. You will assist line managers when undertaking formal investigations, offering guidance, support, and advice in line with policies and procedures and best practice.
- You will contribute to projects and work with colleagues across functions to share and transfer relevant knowledge and experience to achieve delivery of the project within timescales.

**Skills**:

- Previous HR Officer experience ideally within a similar environment, although all sectors considered.
- CIPD level 5 preferred or working towards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across a diverse range of stakeholders, conveying information simply and clearly.
- Data driven with strong analytical skills.
- The ability to look at issues and examine detail.
- Excellent Office/ICT skills in relevant software including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with SAP software would be an advantage.
- Sound Knowledge of Employment Law and GDPR.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise.
- Self-directed, results driven and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with continued attention to detail.
- Ability to network and build relationships across all levels of the business as well as key external partnerships.
- The ability to coach and mentor line managers on best practice whilst understanding business needs.
