A leading engineering and manufacturing company are looking for an ambitious and motivated Project Manager (or Project Engineer) who can oversee and manage all Projects on-site.

It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who genuinely is after something they can truly get their teeth into. This role provides scope, autonomy and exclusivity to manage projects from start to finish, providing your guidance and direction for the companyand its objectives.

Initially kicking off managing a large and Multi-Million pound project that will include doing all the preparation work onsite (site building, location and any groundworks), logistics to site, commissioning and handover of an automated production line.

Only those who are career driven with a background in Project Management, specifically machinery and overseeing a whole project from start through to delivery, will be considered. This machinery must be automated and could be anything from robotics, packaging,print conveyors etc. in manufacturing, logistics or industrial environment.

**Responsibilities**

This is a stand-alone and autonomous role, reporting into the Operations Manager.

To be the owner of engineering projects for operations for the factory. To manage and coordinate all project work relating to Manufacturing processes, Site expansion and Group projects.
- To actively participate in site Capex preparation, discussion and meetings, and lead and be the lead on implementation of Capex projects.
- To manage project budgets effectively ensuring we deliver on our commitments to the overall business.
- To ensure all projects strictly comply with current legislative safety standards and internal safety policies, systems & procedures.
- To ensure the asset base is sufficient to support future operational needs, and delivers the required safety reliability & efficiency requirements of the business.
- To lead, manage and deliver operational and business critical projects as proposed.
- To help change the operational culture from breakdown related to one of continuous improvement in both manufacturing and engineering. Develop the systems, procedures and reporting structures that facilitate this and demonstrate a good understanding of therequired technologies to drive the business forward.
- To lead, manage and develop projects that will benefit the operation by automating and reducing the reliance upon manual processes.
- Provides expertise and assistance with complex manufacturing problems, working alongside the engineering team.
- Develop and maintain Team working with suppliers, colleagues, peers, both internal and external customers. Continuously develop knowledge and understanding of tooling and production technology, markets, products, company procedures/policies and customers

**Requirements**:

- Qualified in Engineering
- Experienced in a similar role, either as a Project Manager or Project Engineer.
- Experience overseeing and delivering projects, from start to finish.
- Experience of machinery based projects in Manufacturing OR Automated OR Industrial environments
- NEEBOSH and MS Projects - advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence change positively and successfully.
- Methodical, organised and process driven.
