Location: Central Support Office (Newcastle)
**The role**:
To lead, drive and grow profitable sales within the central revenue generation sales function.

As a member of the senior sales management team, your role will be to lead, manage, support, and motivate the Central Revenue Generation team to deliver the sales budget that will include (but not be limited to) non-core assets revenue and rehire, whilst contributing to the overall group number by upselling / increasing contract value and the conversion of centrally generated quotations.

This will be achieved through the implementation of key sales metrics across the department whilst leading from the front.

**Key Accountabilities & Activities**

**Sales - Grow profitable revenue year on year**
- Set and implement the sales strategy and annual sales targets
- ** Lead, manage, recruit, motivate, and develop** the revenue generation team using the appropriate metrics, KPIs and performance regime to drive performance and profitable growth to ensure revenue targets are achieved
- ** Client retention** - Ensure that customer retention is optimised through excellent internal account management practice and first-class customer service. Ensure issues are identified and resolved promptly.
- ** Project Ownership** - Implementing project specific sales plan that ensures team are aware of the expectations and specific project/client requirements, to ensure that we achieve our financial targets.
- ** Pricing **- Optimise pricing to maximise revenue and profitability on each opportunity.
- ** Competitors and the market** - Develop a deep understanding of competitors and the industry, its products and services, opportunities, and challenges. Develop plans to beat competitors to secure profitable growth.
- ** Presentations** - Preparing and delivering presentations to customers when required.

**Other accountabilities**
- Drive employee engagement
- Work with colleagues to minimise and collect overdue customer debt
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports as required to demonstrate business performance, opportunities, and challenges
- Build personal capital and contribute to the Nixon Hire reputation through participation in industry forums and wider networking
- Build strong peer relationships across Nixon Hire businesses
- Ensure all team members enter accurate customer records onto the CRM system and other internal systems daily
- Act as a role model for the Nixon Hire vision and values

**Essential Qualifications / Experience**

Proven track record setting and delivering a successful sales strategy and plan
- Significant experience in the rental market in a senior sales and leadership role
- Proven track record of driving profitable sales growth
- Proven experience managing sales teams and driving performance using KPIs and CRM systems
- Experience of personally leading large and complex bids and sales processes
- Strong negotiating and commercial skills - a proven ability to accurately price business opportunities and develop opportunities
- Excellent skills in developing client relationships and experience of managing sales and customer relations
- Highly numerate and literate, but uses both data and “gut” to drive decision making
