We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Supply Chain Quality Lead to join our proactive and innovative team

Quality Lead to support the delivery of manufactured jigs from our supply chain into the customer to support a critical defence programme. This role will be critical to ensure quality of delivery and ensure high RFT standards

**Responsibilities**:

- Quality focused manufacturing troubleshooting support, within allocated suppliers whose quality performance does not currently meet the requirements of the business.
- A recognized Quality certification
- Resolve product concerns through root cause analysis / proven problem-solving resolution processes, to obtain an immediate implementation of containment action(s) and a timely Supplier verification of the permanent preventative action, to avoid re-occurrence.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
- Define and obtain supplier quality performance data to ensure a meaningful supplier performance evaluation. Determine Supplier Capability and provide technical support.
- Ability to conduct or audit inspection of product parts to drawing specification to ensure effective containment of non-conforming parts. Leasing with the desking authority to manage concessions
- Able to prioritize work loads
- Engineering / manufacturing knowledge of fabrication / welding, machining manufacturing processes & painting.
- Effective ability to manage a Portfolio of Suppliers with confidence.
- Enthusiastic and innovative approach to Supplier improvement and support and drive for continuous improvement.
- Ability to sustain and develop team working and team-based problem solving.
- Ability to achieve desired outcomes in difficult environments
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience within a supplier facing Quality Engineering role or similar.
- Experience of working within an ISO9001 certified business and knowledge of ISO1090 preferable.
- Ideally, practical manufacturing experience in a Production environment. Experience with large, welded fabrications and tooling would be highly beneficial

Qualifications:

- Robust knowledge of the quality requirements of ISO9001 & ISO1090 preferable
- Demonstrated experience in a customer facing engineering role.
