**Your Activities Coordinator Job**:
We're looking for an approachable, organised and detail-orientated person to take on the role of Activities Coordinator, you will provide the highest standards of person-centered care, you'll be instrumental in leading and encouraging residents to socialise and take part in home activities. You will maintain a warm and caring environment in which residents are encouraged to maintain their independence and dignity to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible.

**Main Purpose of the Role**:

- To identify residents social and recreational needs according to their likes/dislikes, abilities and personal preferences.
- To coordinate and facilitate activities making sure that all residents receive some form of social activity each week
- Liaise and consult with residents, relatives, friends of residents and staff regarding the care of residents and particular activities that may be beneficial and stimulating.
- Explore the most appropriate methods and resources for meeting activity needs, including group events, individual sessions, involving internal and external sources and involving community based resources.
- Motivate the residents and staff to take part in the activities programme
- Maintain a portfolio of information, including the range of activities available within the Home and the local community.
- Organise theme events as required, based on local holidays, traditions, participate in fundraising events, etc.
- To assist residents with meals and feeding and the serving of meals and beverages as required - ensure that meal times are a social event. Record dietary and fluid intake as required.
- To work as an active team member with your colleagues within the home to ensure the highest standards of care are achieved.

**Your story**:
You would be experienced in providing activities to vulnerable individuals, have a good IT skills and hold a valid driving licence to drive our minibus.
