Denbighshire, United Kingdom Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust Full time

As the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Clinical Team Leader, you would be responsible for supporting the delivery of a high quality nurse led Occupational Health and Wellbeing service to over 4250 employees and 1000 volunteers. You will be responsible for the overall management of the OH and Wellbeing Team supporting the OH and Wellbeing Service Manager in implementing innovative OH practices. You will be responsible for developing preventative and rehabilitative services that ensure that optimum health is achieved along with delivering a range of the health, wellbeing and immunisation programmes. You will provide advice and guidance to managers in relation to the Trust’s attendance management practices.

The service is across Wales with Teams based in St. Asaph, Swansea and Cwmbran. There is therefore a need for occasional travel between these sites, for meetings in other parts of Wales from time to time as well as home working.

If you want to make a real contribution to the health and well-being of staff and work in a supportive environment, then this opportunity could be right for you.

**The post holder**:

- Is the department clinical leader, ensuring that the standard of evidence based care delivered to staff is of the highest quality and deputises in the absence of the Service Manager.
- Has continuing responsibility for the day to day management of clinical activity including, managing resources and allocating staff.
- Monitors standards of service, client experience and safety and takes appropriate action to maintain and improve them.
- Provides a range of Occupational Health (OH) and Wellbeing Support Services (WSS) to employees of the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust (WAST) to promote health and wellbeing and to safeguard from risks arising from their work and working environment.
- Plays a key role in the development, maintenance and promotion of a Nurse led Occupational Health and Wellbeing Support service for employees of the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust and partner organisations.
- Supports the education and training of junior team members; assesses clinical competence and identifies training needs.
- Participates in clinical audit, research and development activities to support service development.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
