Do you want to support adults with learning disabilities whilst gaining managerial experience?
Our client are a not-for-profit organisation who support adults with learning disabilities and are seeking an assistant manager for a supported living service. They focus on a tailored approach to each individual service user, supporting them to a part of thecommunity.
Your new role
You will be an assistant manager for a small team, supporting a group of adults. The adults have learning disabilities, mental health challenges and/or autism. The setting is designed to encourage the service users to live as independently as possible, withthem being activity involved in their local communities. Some will even have, or be seeking employment and you will support them with this.
What you'll need to succeed
- QCF Level 3 (or willingness to work toward)
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities
- Experience working with adults with complex health needs
- Experience working with adults with complex behaviour support needs
- Working knowledge of the Mental capacity act
- Autism training (advantageous)
