**Job Summary**

An excellent opportunity join our brilliant team as a Domiciliary Care Assistant.

Priceless Care Services is a family run business looking for friendly, reliable and caring staff to join our team to help care for the elderly in the community, to allow them to stay in the comfort of their own homes

The rate for this position is **£12.75** an hour & an **excellent** mileage allowance of **£0.45** per mile and paid travel at **£10.42** per hour.

**For example, for a 1 hour call you could potentially be paid £22.00, this would include your mileage, travel time and hourly salary (this is an example and not guaranteed).**

The minimum hours for this position is can be for various hours **full and part time hours offered**.

All applicants must hold a full driving licence & access to a car.

All applicants must live within the Worcestershire area.

At Priceless, we recruit from within and support our staff to progress within the business. There are opportunities to undertake additional training/courses or to take on roles with more responsibility such as, team leader positions.

**Previous experienc**e in care is an advantage, but training will be given.

**JOB PURPOSE**

To enable service users’ to live as independently, comfortably and securely as possible. To promote the opportunity for service users’ to live in the community for as long as possible, by providing care and support to individuals and families.

To have individual responsibility in accordance with the practices, procedures and policies of Priceless Care Services, for the delivery of personal and practical care needs of service users in their own home

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- In general it is the duty of the post holder to undertake all care work with the sensitivity required to provide services in a way, which will preserve the dignity, privacy, choice, independence, fulfilment and rights of the service user and his/her usual carer/members of family
- To act at all times in accordance with Priceless Care’s code of conduct and the Standards of the General Social Care Council
- To attend to the personal needs of the Service User as agreed with the Key Worker, and as detailed in the Service User’s plan of care and to carry out all work in accordance with the Priceless Care worker Induction Manual and Company policies and procedures.
- To create and maintain good communication with service users including those who may have some degree of communication difficulties.
- To make and maintain effective working relationships with service users.
- To develop good communication links with the usual carer or family member in the service user’s home.
- To ensure that the service provided is of a high standard and maintains service users and carers routines and allocated times, therefore not disrupting their normal pattern of living.
- To report any changes in the service user’s circumstances, as soon as practicable, to the Manager.
- To attend service users reviews as required.
- When relieving other care workers, to ensure that services delivered are in accordance with the Service Users agreed person centred care plan
- To ensure that service users receive the necessary support, both socially and emotionally, in a way that is culturally and ethnically sensitive, and reflects the service users needs in relation to their age, gender, sexuality, social class, disability or religious belief.
- To maintain service user records in accordance with Priceless Care’s established procedure.
- Complete all training that is provided.
- Overtime hours are available.
- Must be willing to cover shifts if you are available to (this would be applicable 7 days a week).

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.75-£25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 20 per week
