Proactively lead the Statutory Reporting & Treasury Team to deliver best value to the organisation and support the achievement of the organisations plans and objectives
- Lead and manage the timely and accurate delivery of all of the organisations financial accounting obligations and ensure that these secure the appropriate stewardship and integrity, and comply with statutory, regulatory and best practice frameworks.
- Lead and manage the development, implementation, co-ordination and operation of the processes and procedures.
- Lead the delivery of the organisation's obligations under the External Audit Plan in relation to the audit of the Financial Accounts and the overarching system of financial controls. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the External Auditors.
- Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a monthly balance sheet monitoring and reporting process.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Finance Business Partners and the rest of Finance, ensuring effective communication, to secure the delivery of the financial and taxation reporting and reconciliation obligations within the required quality standards and timescales.
- Lead the development and maintenance of Treasury Management Policy, Strategy and Practices which facilitate the delivery of the organisation's objectives, plans and targets.
- Lead the Accounts Payable function and the debt recovery process for the organisation.
- Lead the management and motivation of all employees in the Statutory Reporting & Treasury Team.
- Manage the Statutory Reporting & Treasury Team budgets and staff.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Membership of a recognised Accountancy body (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA etc).
- Strong leadership and management skills and effective delegation skills which will inspire and motivate staff to achieve objectives.
- Highly developed and effective communication (verbal and written), presentation, and influencing skills especially in relation to complex and technical financial concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting systems, procedures and practice and strong technical financial skills.
- Well developed analytical skill set with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information.
- Significant post-qualification experience in accounting/treasury/investments financial management roles in a large, multi-disciplinary organisation.
- Experience in constructively challenging and influencing senior colleagues.
- Line management experience, leading a team of employees to deliver a proactive, high quality customer-focused service.
