**Job description**:
Joining the Rosa Security Group as a Security Assurance Associate you will play a vital role in helping the organisation maintain a level of control that underpins everything we do. You

will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, evaluating, and checking appropriate data from various sources across the organisation. Your findings and recommendations will be used to grow and enhance our security controls and risk management within the organisation. To be reliable, the data used must provide an accurate picture of control.

The role will be exposed to a wide range of physical, information and personnel security knowledge and expertise that will be helpful in delivering your work. You will be expected to work with diverse stakeholders to help policy, risk and assurance work in tandem towards the best possible compliance outcomes.

**Person specification**:
**Responsibilities**
- Develop threat understanding and expertise in cyber security and assurance methods, learning through industry standards and threat analysis.
- Build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders around the organistaion to understand the range of services the Rosa Service Organistaion delivers.
- Identify reliable assurance information sources to proactively review physical, information and personnel security services.
- Support the Security Assurance team to mature the operating model for security assurance, contributing your ideas and experience, and offering constructive challenge of the best way to achieve strategic objectives.
- Monitor and report on the delivery of security controls, with the use of key performance indictors
- Present assurance findings to senior risk owners and provide evidence-based recommendations on improving end-to-end processes and product lifecycles.
- Ensure alignment with government and industry objectives and standards, proactively reviewing and assuring security risk and highlighting non-conformance.

**Essential Skills**
- An understanding of assurance methods, concepts and principles.
- Experience of using data to produce clear and insightful management reports.
- An understanding of risk reduction methods, including those which are technological, procedural or behavioural.
- Experience of producing high quality, accurate and precise written work.
- Working knowledge of physical, information and personnel security issues and controls.
- Experience of collaboration with stakeholders in a business context.

**Desirable Skills**
- Experience of documenting and reporting product or service quality levels.
- A relevant professional qualification cyber security or protective security.
- Working knowledge of NIST 800-53, ISO27001 or other cyber security frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience of managing complexity in a working context.
