Technical Support Officer

**Job Title**:Technical Support Officer - (Infrastructure Specialist)

**Reporting to**: Service Desk Manager

**Contract**: Permanent

Job Purpose

To support this continued growth, we are looking for a Technical Support Officer to join our existing team of five software and infrastructure support staff at our head office in Skegness, Lincolnshire.

Duties and responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain computer hardware and software systems and peripherals
- Respond to technical support requests from employees and customers and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, both remotely and in-person
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to systems to ensure optimal performance
- Manage user accounts, access rights and permissions
- Maintain inventory of computer equipment, software licenses and other IT assets
- Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
- Ensure data security and confidentiality by following appropriate protocols and procedures
- Monitor the operating environments to recognise any potential issues
- Flexible hours when required including out of hours.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with non-technical users and produce written documentation
- Clearly demonstrate the ability to take ownership of and complete tasks independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Technical Skills
- Proven experience in support, including installation, configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, software and peripherals
- Endpoint devices, Laptops, printers, Smartphones.
- MS-Windows servers, Cisco firewalls, Meraki firewalls
- Cloud hosting, SaaS, IaaS
- Familiarity and experience of Microsoft 365 management
- Familiarity with various operating systems such as Windows, iOS and Android
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS and VPNs
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy and other administrative tools

Essential Knowledge of:

- Cyber Security concepts and technologies
- Information Security concepts and technologies
- Remote Management and MDM Software

Desirable Skills
- Microsoft certifications in relevant technologies
- Experience of working with healthcare organisations
- Experience of vulnerability scanning and resolution

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
