**Supplier Quality Manager**

Our client is an industry leading automotive manufacturer who now have an excellent opportunity for an Supplier Quality Manager join their team based in Lancashire.

**Role Overview**:
To manage the Supplier Quality Team who are responsible for coaching the global supply chain to a zero-defect culture and world class quality performance.

**Core duties and responsibilities**:

- Initiate APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) multi-functional teams
- Co-ordinate PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities at the supplier and manage into plan
- Initiate supplier / launch readiness reviews and quality plans.
- Facilitate, prioritise, train and support supplier corrective action meetings and reviews.
- Measure and analyse trends and performance at the supplier and the plant to reduce potential issues.
- Develop the supplier base by using Six Sigma and Lean techniques.
- Liaise with the group to develop integration activities with the supply base.
- Analyse and audit processes and parts at suppliers premises.
- Complete root cause analysis programmes to plant satisfaction.
- To be business aware and predict industry trends.

**Key Skills**:

- Degree qualified or studying towards a degree - engineering discipline or equivalent technical qualifications are essential.
- A working knowledge of supplier process management and controls, PPAS, APQP and supporting programmes
- To be able to undertake measurement system analysis, statistical measurement and trend analysis
- Internal and external experience in auditing systems and capabilities, or possess a qualification in specific systems
- To be able to make effective decisions
- Skilled/experienced in root cause analysis and poka yoke
- Confident to discuss, enforce and recommend any concerns/solutions at the highest level
- Aware of Six Sigma
- Excellent presentation skills
- The ability to see tasks through to a logical conclusion
- Computer literate
