We’re hiring for a Head of Communications to lead our corporate storytelling, convey our narrative and work in partnership with our marketing teams across North America and Europe to shape our consumer storytelling and grow MPB’s reputation.
Reporting to the CMO you will have the chance to set the global corporate narrative and PR strategy, manage our corporate communications agency relationship and work closely with the execs and senior teams to build their and the company’s profile. This position is based in our Brighton office for 2 days per week, with the rest of the time spent working remotely.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Developing corporate comms strategy and narrative in conjunction with our corporate comms agency, and aligned with our business strategy
- Managing profile raising activity for the company and our brand
- Supporting the exec and senior team in profile raising and storytelling
- Working with internal teams (including pricing, data and analytics) to create and publish thought leadership on the photo/video industry, the technology and retail marketplace sector, sustainability/circular economy
- Working closely with the marketing team to deliver and grow corporate comms activity and call on team resources when necessary (working with other MPB teams on areas such as copywriting, content creators, SEO etc)
- Collaborating on consumer comms strategy, PR strategy and working closely with Regional Market Heads to govern and amplify execution
- Tracking and measuring our corporate and consumer comms/PR impact
- Leading on communications, working closely with other departments and exec, for any crisis or issues management
- Leading on external communications for any future financial events (such as annual results)
**Skills you’ll need**:
- Relevant media relationships and experience building up a media relations function
- Ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders across the business to ensure a consistent MBP story is told
- Maintain collaborative relationships with exec in order to closely manage and build profile raising activity
- Comfortable working in a fast-growth environment with multiple projects at once
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail
- Experience of crisis and issues management planning and execution
Experience in leading corporate communications for fast growth companies including VC/PE backed consumer brands and experience of managing communications through financial events, is a big plus.
