Payroll Administrator

HMRC, tax code, national insurance, and pension legislation
- processing new starters and leavers
- running weekly and monthly payroll
- processing, checking, and correcting payments using payroll software
- calculating SMP/SSP/SPP
- end of year activities including P45 and P60
- maintaining holiday calculations
- assisting colleagues with payroll queries
The successful applicant will be reporting directly to the payroll manager and will be required to support the team in processing payrolls and working to strict deadlines. A strong knowledge in IT including excel is essential, experience in using Bright pay software is preferred but not essential.
All applicants must possess a strong attention to detail, be reliable, trustworthy and able to work confidentially.
The position will be office-based Monday-Friday in a modern city centre office. A salary of £26,000 plus staff incentives are offered.
