- **Hours of Work**: 22.5 per week (Wednesday, Thursday an Friday)
- **Duration**: Temporary until 30th September 2023
- Public Sector

**Duties**:

- Work as part of the Regulatory Services team to ensure that service provision is customer focussed, innovative and best value for money.
- Enforce via both proactive and reactive measures, all relevant legislation, local Orders and bye-laws relating to dogs, litter, waste and local environmental quality matters.
- Contribute to effective liaison and partnership arrangements related to the functions of the department.

**Criteria**:

- Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy
- 2 years' experience in a similar role, to include:

- Dealing with confrontational situations involving members of the general public
- Effective enforcement of legislation
- Drafting letters, statements and reports which are appropriate and fit for purpose
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and statutory obligations
- A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle
- This post will require confident handling of dogs. Applicants must be willing to undertake appropriate training
