This is an ideal opportunity for career and professional development within a busy but friendly team dealing with a range of planning enforcement cases and would be ideal for individuals wishing to take the next step in their career. You should have extensive experience of planning enforcement including the preparation and issue of formal notices, the taking and giving of witness statements, interviews under caution, appeals, prosecutions and the giving of evidence in court. Applicants should be capable of forming positive working relationships with clients, performance minded, organised and capable of modernising the service to help manage demand better.

Attendance at Planning Committee and representing the Council at appeal and in court are key parts of the role, as well as supporting the junior Planning Enforcement officer.
