Principal Enforcement Officer

The Council’s Planning Service has an important role to play in achieving the Council’s ambitions to become a dynamic, self-sufficient and flexible Council that delivers excellent services, whilst adapting to local aspirations and acting as the economic and environmental driver for Bolsover District.

It is important that our community have confidence in the Council’s Planning Service, and in particular in our actions and the steps we take to investigate potential breaches of planning control.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Knowledge of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, wider planning policy / legislation and knowledge of planning enforcement procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with members, professional officers, developers, members of the public and organisations.
- Experience of data collection, analysis and monitoring.
- IT literacy using Microsoft Offices packages.
- Experience of presenting reports to committees, groups or similar.
