**About This Position**:
Bury College is on the look out for a Personalised Learning Coordinator to join our Personal Development Department - Vocational and Foundation on a Full Time, Permanent basis.

The purpose of this opportunity is to ultimately develop positive working relationships with schools, our local authority and other stakeholder organisations to create sustainable access into Education for young people (Year 11's) who require support engaging in further Education and training.
- Develop strong links and positive working relationships with the local authority and other stakeholder agencies to engage with young people not in education employment or training and create sustainable pathways into education or training.
- Co-ordinate the Personalised Learning Centre and bespoke provision within the curriculum teams across the College to support vulnerable learners.
- Co-ordinate the assessment and placement of overseas students with no qualifications or international qualifications.
- Contribute to raising and improving quality for vulnerable leaners across a portfolio of courses by liaising with Curriculum Directors to drive the personalised learning agenda
- To deliver learning as a Lecturer on entry level programmes developing the English skills for young people where that is a barrier to progression.
- To deliver excellent and inclusive teaching, learning and assessment in the classroom, so that learners are inspired to succeed and progress.
- To plan delivery so schemes of work, lesson plans and individual learning plans support learner progress and timely achievement.
- To undertake ongoing high quality formative and summative assessment of learners work both in class and through regular out of class activity to monitor progress.
- To initiate and respond to new curriculum developments and plan resources as appropriate.

We are looking for an individual who has positive outlook and vision of Curriculum experience an experienced professional who can inspire future learner, acting as a role model to further development.

**Experience and Qualifications required**
- Maths and English Grade A* - C (or equivalent) or Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy is essential.
- A full teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills or currently working towards.
- QTS/QTLS or willingness to work towards.
- A management qualification is desirable.
- At least 3 years experience working with vulnerable learners at a Supervisory level.
- Experience of creating sustainable pathways into education and training for vulnerable leaners.
- Experience of working alongside schools, the local authority and other agencies to engage with vulnerable young people.
- Experience of developing structured programmes of delivery to meet stringent assessment regimes and quality standards.
- Experience of analysing retention, achievement and attendance statistics to improve the learner experience.
- Experience of monitoring student performance against targets.
