**Sourcing Assistant**

We are Sosandar. Based in Wilmslow, Cheshire, we’re one of the UK’s fastest growing online fashion brands for chic and stylish women; worn by celebs and influencers galore. We have an amazing opportunity for someone equally as amazing to join our growing team as a Sourcing Assistant.

As Sourcing Assistant for Sosandar, you will be responsible in assisting the Senior Sourcing Manager and wider Sourcing Team with identifying gaps in the supply base, have an integral role in the onboarding process of new suppliers and support in all elements of the Sourcing function. This includes the development and execution of Sosandars’ ESG Strategy, Supplier Database Management, Packaging and Labelling Projects, Handbook Management (the roll out of additions and updates) and have an involvement in Supplier Strategy Planning. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with our key suppliers across the globe and support in the execution of a global supplier strategy, whilst also have a hand in exploring emerging markets and seeking out new suppliers that align with our needs and values.

Alongside this, you will provide day to day administrative support across the Sourcing Team and learn from a highly experienced and dynamic team.

**This is what you’ll do**:
Supporting Supplier Management
- Supplier introduction, on-boarding, development, and ongoing management of the supplier database
- Have an understanding of how to negotiate with suppliers to achieve the/a desired goal which is mutually beneficial to both parties
- Understand payment and inco terms, supplier MOQs and lead times
- Have a understanding of different COO's and their capabilities
- Collaborate with suppliers on any initial cross costing exercises and have an appreciation of some cost saving strategies
- Work closely with all internal stakeholders - understanding how their departments and job roles work i.e. Buying, Design, Merch, Finance, Ops. Have a clear view and opinion on how we can collaborate together to achieve the global sourcing strategy
- Able to analyse various data sets to understand the direction of and foresee any potential issues
- Support in achieving key sustainability goals
- Keen interest in sustainability, keeping up to date with the latest innovations to report back to the team
- Has the ability to run reports with a good understanding of all parts of Mircrosoft Office

Managing and analysing data
- Responsible for managing the supplier database, ensuring this is maintained and regularly reviewed with the wider team
- Responsible for liaising with suppliers, keeping track of factory management, due diligence documentation and noting and recording and key changes within the supply
- Involved in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support wider company growth
- Manage the relationship between Sosandar and our labelling/packaging suppliers as well as the supply base
- Have a good understanding of the wider teams and their needs in delivering their departmental strategy
- Attends UK supplier meetings and trade shows.
- Collates and records all factory audits and additional ethical information during supplier set ups and maintains these records.

**We’re looking for someone with **
- A background in fashion preferably but not essential in a Sourcing or related role
- Strong relationship building skills
- Good analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office - particularly proficient in PowerPoint as well as strong skills on Canva
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with other areas of the Product Department
- Energised and self-starter with ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Strong presentation and influencing skills
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to reprioritise tasks based on needs to the business
