Our client is seeking both temporary workers, on an ongoing basis, or would also beinterested in temporary to permanent arrangements. This is a great opportunity to gain a full time role, or, to pick up regular, extra hours of work per week.
Children residential worker

At present, we are working with a provider which operates 3 children residential homes across Southampton. These homes specialise in providing care for children who have complex care needs, and require 1:1 or 2:1 care. The children have needs around profoundlearning disabilities, complex care, physical disabilities, global delay disorder and Autism, and as such, we are wanting to hear from experienced professionals who have provided care for children with similar needs.
The role will involve, but not be limited to the following:
" Providing personal care for children - including toileting, washing, cleaning, feeding etc.

" Experience providing complex care, including peg feeding, tracheostomy care, and more
" Assisting with the movement of children, using hoists and other moving and handling tools
" Following care plans and providing right of choice wherever possible
" Updating care plans, and producing reports where necessary
" Managing, and at times, administering medication
" Escorting children out in the community
" Working as part of a team, ensuring information is shared effectively, in line with GDPR policies
" Managing behaviours that can challenge
" Unjudgmental and ability to relate to people from different backgrounds than your own
" Physical strength and endurance as they are long hours and you may be required to lift patients.
" At least 6 months experience working face to face with vulnerable children/Young people
" Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
Waking nights from 9pm up to 8am.

Hourly rate £12 - £15 per hour for waking nights dependent on experience and training
