Richmond, United Kingdom Gumtree & Motors.co.uk Full time

Gumtree was founded in 2000 by two friends, with the aim of building a community where people like them could find everything they needed to settle into a new city and do so quickly and affordably. What they created was a platform where people could come together to help each other out in small ways. And this is still a core part of Gumtree today. Our purpose is to make good finds happen, whether that’s finding the right buyer for your vintage collectibles or finding a local upholsterer to breathe new life into your sofa. As a company we are on a mission to make buying and selling second hand safer, simpler and more enjoyable for everyone, because we believe everything can find a new purpose (and that’s good for you and good for the planet).

In 2019 motors.co.uk joined Gumtree to grow the online car sales offering. At motors.co.uk we believe a car can help people get more out of life and it is our ambition to help everybody find the right car, confidently and with peace of mind. That’s why we are transforming motors.co.uk into the preferred destination to find a car, so people can spend less time searching and more time living.

Across our businesses we are: customer powered, we innovate with purpose and we are real people who deliver with impact.

**About the role**:
Our People vision is to be an employer of choice which celebrates culture and creates outstanding experiences for our people.

Our People Coordinator proactively manages the full range of People administration services and acts as our HRIS Champion. Our employee experience is underpinned by the effective and efficient use of our people systems and our speed and agility to support key moments that matter. You will act as a key point of contact across the employee lifecycle answering questions and queries from colleagues across both businesses, onboarding new starters and processing employment changes.

You will maintain our data integrity, compiling accurate reporting for monthly payroll and producing people metrics and reporting for our leadership teams and stakeholders.
- Undertaking all process activities related to changes throughout the employee lifecycle, including new starters, leavers, promotions - including all paperwork and system changes for our UK teams
- Delivering onboarding activities and inductions to an exceptional standard including compliance
- Supporting the delivery of major projects such as salary review, bonus, engagement surveys, performance appraisals & communication events
- Sit in the epicentre of the people ecosystem, ensuring that our integration with Legal and IT (amongst other functions) works seamlessly
- Supporting the organisation and scheduling of the L&D roadmap within the business.
- Acting as a superuser of the People HRIS platform (NaturalHR)
- Administration of benefit schemes, ensuring teammates are added and removed in a timely fashion and records are accurately maintained
- Maintaining people records to the highest standard
- Obtaining references for new starters as and when appropriate
- Compiling first submission of payroll on a monthly basis
- Assisting our Employee Engagement & Inclusion lead to deliver regular social events
- General People support and ad hoc duties as requested such as note taking in employee relation matters and building out automated processes for self service.

**What are we looking for?**:

- Experience within a People administration role, ideally within a fast-growing and fast-paced business.
- You have an extremely high level of attention to detail, are organised and are very comfortable with pulling together data for reporting.
- You are a team player and you strive for having great collaboration across teams, functions, and locations.
- Ability to spin multiple plates - not afraid to take on multiple tasks but know how to prioritise to achieve deadlines.
- People skills. You believe in the power of communication and focus on building relationships long term.
- Experienced dealing with sensitive information with the ability to work in a confidential manner.
- Friendly, open-minded with a positive can-do attitude
- Some understanding of UK work legislation would be an advantage.
