We are working with colleagues across Care and Support to improve the outcomes for children and young people. Family time contact is to promote and sustain the child’s relationship with their family and to provide high quality, positive time for them to connect and interact. It is also to give the social workers a better understanding of how parents and children interact as part of their ongoing investigations and towards their final decision on the outcome of this children’s care.

Be a skilled, experienced, motivated, and caring practitioner who can engage children, young people and family members & use a variety of techniques to assist them in changing behaviour and develop creative solutions. You need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside analytical ability and confident decision making, whilst demonstrating the ability to incorporate the Strengthening Families Model which builds on families’ strengths with a focus on protective factors.

We want people that embody our organisational values and care about our communities and borough. If you have the knowledge, skills and experience required for this role and share our values, we would like to hear from you
