Empowering Learning are currently recruiting on behalf of a lovely Manchester secondary school for an SEMH Teaching Assistant.

For this SEMH Teaching Assistant Manchester position you will need to have an empathetic and nurturing nature and an understanding of the needs of young people. You will ideally have a background working in schools or in residential care.

Pay scale £80 - £90 per day

Empowering Learning are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Manchester.

It takes a special person to work with SEMH children, if you are looking for progression in a role and feel you can support SEND children keep reading.
- The school are keen for a new SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their support staff, supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with special educational needs.
- As a SEMH Teaching Assistant you will be supporting students with special educational needs, providing tailored 1:1 support within the classroom as well as smaller group sessions focused on supporting pupils with their development areas.
- The SEMH Teaching Assistant role will be starting soon as possible on a full time basis, 8.30am - 4pm until the end of the academic year.
- Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering 1:1 support and working with smaller groups of students that require additional support.
- Engaging SEMH pupils and encouraging interaction with lessons Supporting children with their literacy and numeracy work.
- Liaising with the Class Teacher and Parents to discuss pupil's progress and performance Supporting the Teacher with lesson prep and the delivery of lessons.
- Experience working with children within a school
- Experience of working with special educational needs is desirable
- Ability to adapt approach to meet learner's needs
- Strong interpersonal skills
