**Role Overview**:
This is an exciting new role developed as part of our work with the Department for Education to deliver the Delivering Better Value project. Your role will be to lead on the development of good practice in relation to transitions across Oldham, working across the partnership and with parents/carers and young people to achieve this. It will build on work already underway to develop Year6/7 transition via a pilot project, as well as council priorities around transitions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To manage a transition project for its duration, including identification of good practice, and development of toolkits and approaches to supporting staff, CYP and parents/carer around transition in relation to all key stage transitions.
- To link with other professionals to influence practice & develop a network of practice and communication across setting transition points
- To work with senior leaders across the partnership to influence partnership policy and practice.
- To collate information and identify key priorities
- To provide quarterly feedback and ensure robust monitoring of the project

**Key Requirements**:
To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

- Evidence of continued professional, managerial and personal development in relation to education and/or SEND
- Experience working within an educational setting
- Experience of managing and successfully delivering projects, as well as experience managing a team
- Degree and/or equivalent Professional Qualification in disciplines relating to Psychology, social sciences, Mental Health, Behaviour, SEND or Teaching.
