**Description**:

**The Role**:

- Posting invoices; reconciling suppliers’ monthly statements for purchase ledger.
- Invoicing internal/external customers; posting cash received for sales ledger.
- Reconciliation of control accounts and making adjustments; using spreadsheets for control processes and monthly reporting for nominal ledger.
- Data input and posting rent received for rent ledger.
- Entering all received and expended monies; entering bank statement details for computerised cash book.
- Assisting in cash book reconciliation for computerised cash book.
- Dealing with inquiries courteously and professionally from the public, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Assisting in the overall administration of the Finance Department and performing other tasks within competence and reason to meet fluctuating work demands.

**The Person**:

- 1+ years’ experience in a finance department.
- Experience using computerised financial systems & Excel
- 2 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including Mathematics and English.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Further technical or professional accounting qualification or part qualification desirable.
