Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust (RCHT) are embarking on an exciting, leading edge HR System Transformation Programme. Through the re-engineering and maximisation of HR System functionality, RCHT have an ambitious two-year programme planned to transform HR Services and the Corporate experience by unlocking the full capability of our HR systems, and to make best use of these digital platforms. This will improve the HR service user experience and will enhance the quality and accuracy of management information reports generated from HR related systems.

The post holder will have specialist HR knowledge across range of procedures, underpinned by theoretical knowledge of generalist HR activity, acquired through degree or equivalent experience or training.

The post holder will have demonstrated working within a project management context and will have knowledge to post graduate diploma level or equivalent

The post holder will provide overall management for the HR System Transformation Programme, reporting to the Associate Director of HR System Transformation and managing the HR Project co-ordinator.

The role will, in conjunction with the Programme Lead, support, facilitate and monitors progress of the HR System Transformation project, which will mainly take place on a remote basis.

As a lead HR SME, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the Associate Director with the the delivery for HR transactional performance improvement objectives of the programme

The post holder will be an active and key member of the HR System Transformation Programme Board. The post holder will be required to present complex information to the Board, updating the board on progress of programme activity, outlining key risks, mitigating actions and highlighting and proposed changes and make recommendations regarding any decisions that the Board need to make.

It will be the responsibility of the post holder to advise the Programme Board where decisions need to be made on complex matters, that may have several options regarding potential solutions.

Plan and organise broad range of complex programme activities, including ESR data cleanse and configuration, roll out of managers self-service, process mapping and change management.

Collaborating with workstream leads to understand details of progress and interdependencies.

The post holder will need to review and adjust plans where targets are not met, highlighting any changes to the Programme Board.

Where there are any changes to policy or service changes, the role holder will take the lead on making proposals regarding options for change, in collaboration with BAU POD colleagues and key stakeholders such as JCNC.

The post holder will be responsible for implementing, communicating and monitoring agreed changes to policy and related standard operating procedures.

Be responsible for the monitoring of effectiveness and ongoing suitability of HR related digital platforms such as Togetherall and GreatwithTalent.

Explore possibilities of bringing other HR digital platforms into scope of the Programme, i.e. Wagestream

Oversees the pay and non pay budgets for the programme, reporting performance of these to the Associate Director and Programme Board

Responsible for updating Programme monitoring and progress documents on Smartsheets, as relevant to the work of the team

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Effective communication of highly complex information, and involvement with a range of stakeholders

Developed communication skills in order to explain complex information to staff across the Trust including to Programme Board

Develop productive working relationships with team, colleagues and stake holders

Develop own personal networks

Delivery and presentation of reports to time and to a high standard
