The role will develop into an exciting operational role in the future constantly keeping us ahead of the curve.

This is a key leadership role in the People & Organisational Development (POD) directorate to help improve services for our patients through HR System Transformation. This will also involve aligning across other health providers and stakeholder engagement.

A key aspect of this role is influencing at a very senior level on the day-to-day delivery of safe patient care and requires the highest level of interpersonal and communication skills. A key part of this is working in proximity to, and providing support for, the operations of the Trust at the most senior level to deliver Trust workforce objectives.

Leading for the Chief People Officer the development and delivery of the Trust’s People Strategy, through direct professional leadership and management of the following teams and remits:
HR System Transformation.

Payroll Services.

People Information Unit.

The role will provide leadership to all afore mentioned roles and their teams including facilitating the development of their direct reports to support succession planning.

The role is accountable to drive the development and implementation of the HR Systems Transformation Programme, which will impact beyond own area, which will deliver:
Reconfiguration of positioning ensuring ESR as central source of establishment data.

Improved ESR data quality and management information reporting.

Fully interfaced HR systems.

Implementation of ESR Managers Self Service.

Improved and processes, reduction in manual processing.

To effectively deliver the outputs of the HR System Transformation Programme, the role holder will:
Chair the HR System Transformation Programme Board to steer the Programmer to successful outcomes.

Lead on group wide initiatives, reporting to the Programme Board to deliver successful outcomes.

Improvement initiatives relating to HR processes aligned to the quality improvement approach across all functions.

The strategic HR agenda for the directorate with other professional colleagues to ensure a consistent approach.

A coaching style to foster effective relations with staff-side, including informal and formal approaches to
