**About the Job**:

- **To support the ALS manager in ensuring that students who are supported via the ALS team have an equal opportunity to be as successful as their peers.**:

- **To support curriculum staff to make their curriculum accessible to students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.**:

- **To manage and deliver support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities**:

- **Liaise with and support college staff to help support those students who are deemed to be at risk of not achieving. Ensure that they are identified early and necessary actions are taken including Fitness to Study processes. To monitor at risk reports and liaise with the ALS manager to help ensure that solutions and remedies are introduced in a timely manner.**:

- **Assist with the EHC Plan consultation process for those students who have applied to the curriculum areas within your caseload, ensuring support plans and transitions are organised in a timely manner**:

- **Supervise ALS Practitioners to ensure that they are deployed effectively to meet the support needs of students**:
**About You**:

- **A teaching qualification or a commitment to working towards a recognised teaching qualification.**:

- **Substantial successful experience in teaching and supporting learners with additional learning needs and disabilities in a further education setting.**:

- **Capable of identifying additional learning needs and developing/adapting customised learning materials, including the use of new and emerging technologies.**:
