Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Blyth, Northumberland

**Salary**: Competitive

Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Temporary, until end of academic year with possibility of extension

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective learning activities for children aged 3-5 years.
- Providing additional support to students who require extra help to meet their individual learning goals.
- Supporting students with personal care needs such as toileting and feeding where required.
- Building strong relationships with students, parents/carers and colleagues.
- Contributing to the wider school community by taking part in school events and activities.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Relevant qualifications and experience working with young children in a primary school setting (level 2 minimum).
- A positive, patient and nurturing approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience working with children who have additional needs.
- Experience delivering interventions to support students' progress.
- A willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.
