As the Executive Assistant to the Leader of Council, you will provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the Leader and Deputy Leader, ensuring the smooth running of their daily activities, diary management, travel and meeting arrangements. You will also act as a liaison between the Leader and other key stakeholders and colleagues. You will be responsible for managing the Leader's diary, correspondence and travel arrangements, as well as organising and supporting meetings, events and engagements. You will also assist the Leader with research and stakeholder engagement, as well as handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

- A minimum of three years of experience as an executive assistant or similar role, preferably in a political or public sector environment
- A degree or equivalent qualification in administration or business management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise documents, reports, and presentations
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively under pressure
- Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and online platforms
- A good understanding of local government structures
- Political awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt to different situations and audiences
- A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team A commitment to the values and vision of the council and the Leader
