Media analysis, insight and consultation is a growing area of the business, as clients seek to extract more meaning from their communications activities. Our Research and Evaluation team provides detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis of media coverage working to defined methodology established through best industry practice.

Press Data is looking for an ambitious individual, who is highly organised and motivated, with a keen interest in news media, current affairs and data.

The individual we are seeking will work as part of a small, friendly and efficient team, where respect and consideration are key values; they pride themselves on great team work, and all team members enjoy bringing positive energy to their work and to the company.

Therefore, we are looking for a highly organised and efficient individual, who has an understanding of the media and communications industries, and is comfortable working in an environment involving strict deadlines. This person will be able to work effectively and efficiently with company resources and will use their excellent professional judgment in a variety of situations for a wide range of clients.

The individual must share the values of the company and be able to communicate this positively to all clients and colleagues.

The person we are looking for must:

- Have excellent, proven communication skills, able to deal with people at different levels both internally and externally;
- Have knowledge of IT Applications, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint;
- Have numeracy and data skills
- Be able to form co-operative working relationships and display time management skills in relation to personal workloads and deadlines;
- Have proven organisational ability and the capacity to work accurately to deadlines;
- Be able to work diligently alone if necessary and to respond to a wide variety of situations as they arise;
- Have experience of working within a busy production office or environment;
- Have excellent literacy skills with high levels of attention to detail;
- Be able to engage confidently with experienced communications professionals;
- Understand completely the need for excellent customer service at all times;
- Understand the need for complete confidentiality in some aspects of the role;
- Behave in a professional manner with colleagues and clients, leading by example in all tasks;
- Communicate the company ethos and demonstrate company values.

MEDIA ANALYSIS RESEARCHER

RESEARCH AND EVALUATION TEAM

Terms and conditions:
**Salary**:
£18,200 - 23,000 per annum dependent upon experience

Holiday entitlement:
28 days annual leave entitlement including public holidays

Hours:
37.5 hours per week; variable 7.5 hour shifts from 8.00am - 6.00pm (which includes 30 mins break) Mon-Fri

**Tasks**:
Media Analysis Researchers are expected to carry out analysis of media content from a wide range of sectors, to ensure the consistency of collated data, and to contribute to the production of reports for clients. Additional activities include business development tasks such as assisting in the preparation of proposals for potential evaluation clients and helping out with general tasks in the office.
