Internal Sales Team Leader

Due to the rapid growth in the business, this new role has been created to support our continuing growth plans. This is an exciting opportunity to join Altitude Safety as we further invest in our sales function to support its rapid growth plans.
**Role Objective**:
Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be responsible for the tracking and reporting of sales performance, the monitoring of adherence to internal standards and achievement of targets. You will also take responsibility for the Internal Sales Department delivering on set KPI's for the department.
You will motivate and coach team members in an effort to increase sales. Additionally, you will be tasked with liaising with the external sales team and Sales Manager.
Primarily, you will be supporting and managing the internal sales team on a day to day basis and assisting the Sales Manager in achieving set goals and building strategies. Initially, the role will also incorporate some responsibility for sales delivery, however, this will change as the team progresses against our growth plans.
This is a fast paced and demanding internal leadership and sales role, (inbound & outbound), providing ongoing critical safety solutions to our varied customer base. Our range of critical safety products and services is vast and can be technical and you will be expected to help guide our customers to achieve a successful solution. This role can either be based at our regional Northern group facility near Leeds or Head Office in Irthlingborough Northamptonshire.
**Key Areas of Responsibility**:
- Build close relationships with key decision makers to ensure customer loyalty and increase market share
- Assist Managers in Sales Strategy Development
- Keep Informed of New Products and Services.
- Recruit, Train, and Coach the Sales Team.
- Delegate Tasks and Set Deadlines.
- Set Sales Targets and Motivate Sales Team.
- Prepare Sales Reports.
- Build close relationships with key decision makers to ensure customer loyalty and increase market share
- Identify customer requirements, generate quotes and process bookings
- Generating new business and converting leads to build on the existing client base
- Develop strong relationships with internal Administration and Delivery teams
- Work in conjunction with the Field Sales team by setting appointments to drive account growth
- Support all marketing, campaign and lead generation activities
- Promote new products and services to account base as required

**The Person**:
**Experience**:
- Proven telesales experience (minimum 2 years)
- Leadership Experience
- Proven experince of developing a successful team
- Utility/Engineering/Construction sector experience preferred
- Similar experience in a technical sales or safety equipment environment is desirable
- Proven experience of delivering in a highly targeted sales role

**Hours**:
08.30 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.00 - 16.30 Friday
**Salary**:
Subject to previous sales experience and sector experience, comprising a competitive basic salary and a commission scheme.
