**Further information**:
The role is 'hands-on' and the post holder will be expected to cover all gang activities and duties which include, but are not limited to, general maintenance and cleansing of the adopted environment such as manual sweeping and litter picking. Other main duties include collection and removal of waste, searching waste for evidence, land clearance, removal of weeds, dirt, detritus and leaves, removal of fly posting, fly tipping, graffiti and dog fouling, and toilet cleaning. Additional tasks may include snow clearance, gritting the highway, routine maintenance tasks and driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonne.
- One of the above posts primarily involves the cleansing of public toilets via a flexible weekly 5 over 7 day working pattern to provide a service during evenings and weekends. The rate of pay will be enhanced to reflect this arrangement.
- A second post primarily involves the cleansing of public beaches, parks and promenade via a flexible weekly 5 over 7 day working pattern in order to provide a service during evenings and weekends. The rate of pay will be enhanced to reflect this arrangement.
