Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Civic and Ceremonial Officer. As a Civic and Ceremonial Officer, you will play a vital role in coordinating and managing various civic events and ceremonies. This position requires strong project management skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for public service.

**Duties**:

- Plan, organize, and execute civic events and ceremonies, such as parades, inaugurations, and memorial services
- Coordinate with internal departments, external organizations, and community stakeholders to ensure successful event execution
- Develop event timelines, budgets, and logístical plans
- Oversee event setup, including stage design, seating arrangements, and audiovisual equipment
- Collaborate with marketing team to promote events through social media platforms and other marketing channels
- Assist in fundraising efforts to support civic events and initiatives
- Educate the public about the significance of civic events and ceremonies
- Supervise event staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations during events
- Conduct post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement

**Skills**:

- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent leadership abilities to effectively manage teams and volunteers
- Knowledge of public health guidelines to ensure the safety of attendees during events
- Proficiency in social media management for event promotion

- Strong supervisory skills to oversee event staff and volunteers
- Knowledge of marketing principles to effectively market events
- Excellent administrative skills for budgeting, planning, and record keeping
