About the role
Are you looking a part time role that's varied, challenging, rewarding and where you can help young people?

Arnold House is a five bedded residential home housing young people between 7-17 with autism spectrum disorder and learning disabilities. We are a small home, so we encourage a “family feel” where possible, this involves eating our meals together, creating positive relationships and supporting our residents. We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and experienced person to join our staff team of Night Care Supervisors.

This role is shift based which means a pattern of 2 nights on and 4 nights off, ongoing in total 22 Hours a week.

Please note that annual pay will be pro-rata to the salary scale shown.

What will you be doing?
- Assisting day staff in settling children at bedtime and waking them for school.
- Supporting children who wake in the night, who may be frightened or whose behaviour may be challenging
- Maintaining accurate notes in the homes log’s and writing incident reports as required
- Undertaking a range of domestic duties.

About you
- You are confident interacting with young people; having either work, voluntary or personal experience.
- You will be a confident communicator who finds it easy to relate to colleagues and young people
- You are able to maintain accurate records and solve problems, using good verbal or written reasoning.
- You are confident working through the night taking responsibility for the security of the building and the care of our young people
