**The Salary**:£10.50 per hour

Wimpole is the largest house in Cambridgeshire and the estate covers an impressive 2,500 acres of countryside. As a part of the Welcome Team you would be the face of the property and deliver exceptional customer service in our fast-paced visitor reception. Your responsibilities will be varied, ranging from supporting the property’s Growing Support ambitions, welcoming our supporters setting them up for a fantastic day, and recruiting new members.

This impressive mansion and home farm is the only National Trust property that manages all its visitor attractions and activities in-house. Visitor numbers have increased rapidly in recent years and Wimpole is regarded as one of our most successful properties in terms of growth and innovation. As expected for such a popular location work at Wimpole is fast-paced and no two days are ever the same.

What you'll be doing:As the Facilities Assistant, you'll assist with the day to day cleanliness and presentation the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll turn your practical hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor maintenance ensuring all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter picking will form a core part of the role, both inside and outdoors. You’ll ensure the highest standards of customer service across the area by always implementing a ‘customer comes first’ attitude. General maintenance work and helping within other teams will also form part of your role. Driving of estate vehicles is a key part of the role so applicants should have a UK driving licence.
