I am working with a fantastic **special school** based in the lovely historical town of **Taunton**, this is a state funded special school, from year **5 to year 11**. Their core aim is to **support** and **develop** pupils’ ambitions and to help them discover their full potential. The curriculum at this fantastic school is delivered both in and out of the classroom with outdoor education, enrichment activities, forest school, art and development of emotional literacy and communication skills being an integral part of a young person's experience.

The head teacher is looking for a **patient** but **assertive** individual to work alongside a fantastic team of teachers and support staff. Applicants must be able to show **excellent interpersonal skills, energy and enthusiasm**. You will be ensuring pupils are adhering to the schools rules, and be a **mentor** for them to look up to. This will be both classroom support and outside during social hours on site, encouraging a positive learning environment.

**Previous experience is essential, you must have good knowledge of behaviour difficulties and management and have a minimum of 1 years experience working within a SEN school environment.**
