**Job overview**:
We are currently looking for friendly adaptable staff willing to work within our supportive team providing cleaning, portering and basic food preparation for our patients. The ability to follow hospital policies and procedures and to carry out other duties as requested to meet the needs of the service are all essential.
Previous experience in a similar position with the Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be given.
This is a part time post working form 13:30 to 19:30 hours on a fixed shift pattern, including alternate weekends and Bank Holidays if rostered.

**Main duties of the job**:
The main duties of this role will be working on the ward, assisting with serving meals, cleaning where necessary, working as part of a team to provide a good service to our patients.

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Over 4,000 people make up the Trust. This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, plus admin and support staff.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
