We are excited to welcome you to join our friendly therapy team where you will have the opportunity lead across all areas of the service this includes:

- Single Point of Access
- Community Rapid Response / Frailty Team
- Reablement Team

Intermediate Care Unit

The post holder will work as part of a large multidisciplinary team a well-blended mix of GP’s, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Therapy and Nursing Assistants, Dietician, Care Support Workers and Administrators.

The Service operates a seven day service, currently operational hours are 8am to 8pm, including bank holidays and weekends. You will be expected to work shifts to cover these hours.

As a Therapy Clinical Lead you will utilise highly developed specialist clinical skills as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Providing clinical and operational leadership for the therapy component of the service. The role includes ensuring efficient and effective use of resources along side the delivery of high standards of patient care.

Taking the clinical lead in this specialist area of work, acting as a principal resource providing advice, supervision and training for staff in the service. Establishing and nurture strong working relationships with other members of the wider community, general practices and social care. Applicants must also be able to lead on clinical audit and data analysis, all with the aim of maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Role summary
- To utilise highly developed, expert, specialist clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of your own caseload of patients with complex conditions.
- To develop specialised programmes of care, individually and/or in groups, as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a variety of settings.
- To develop and use skills outside the normal scope of therapy/nursing practice to support patient care.
- To provide clinical leadership and highly specialist advice, taking an active role in both the operational decision making with the clinical team manager, providing support to the Principal Lead for the Service
- To ensure efficient and effective use of resources and the development and maintenance of the highest standards of patient care and delivery.
- To lead in the development of the therapy service in line with the requirements of the commissioners.
- To take the clinical lead in this specialist area of work, acting as a principal resource providing advice, supervision, and training into a variety of disciplines.
- To lead clinical audits and undertake research for therapies in this specialist area.
- To establish and nurture strong working relationships with other members of the wider community team, social care and general practice.
