Experienced Retail Butcher required to work in our busy shop
Butchering Experience: 3 years minimum
We are looking for an Experienced Retail Butcher to help run our busy Dunfermline based shop who has a real love for their craft. Puddledub produces some of the finest pork & meat products in the country from our award-winning food company based near Dunfermline/ Kirkcaldy in Fife. Last year we were honoured to be nominated in the final 3 for Best Butchers shop in Scotland. We supply customers across the country through our 2 retail butcher shops in Dunfermline Dobbies & Kirkcaldy as well as online through our website & Farm shop retail partners. Our Team and great products are what make our business successful.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, time served retail butcher to join our experienced and professional team. They will be able to serve our customers with knowledge and pride working at our shop in Dunfermline, and occasionally as required at our award winning Kirkcaldy shop. Excellent customer service is essential
**Role & Key Responsibilities**
- Ensuring Excellent customer service, outgoing, friendly and positive
We are seeking someone with skills and experience to break down Pork, Beef & Lamb carcass efficiently to agreed specifications.
- Compliance on safe food handling are required at all times. You will maintain all Health and Safety Hygiene rules as laid out by the Company at all times and uphold a high level of cleanliness,
- This is a full-time, permanent role, working 4 days a week Monday to Sunday (weekends on rotation) with the other team members between 8am -6pm, (with overtime at busy times)
**The Right Person - Knowledge & Experience**
- Experienced whole carcass butcher;boning out Pork, Beef, Lamb. Knowledge of Making Sausages & Burgers, following recipes and spec
- Proactive in minimising waste to produce optimum production yield
- A hard-working, highly motivated individual with high output, you will have a positive and proactive attitude to work. You will be reliable, hard-working and a great team player, used to working in a fast-paced environment, helping create a great team atmosphere
- You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and will be experienced in balancing the needs of the customer whilst working to a clean and safe manner. A constructive member of the team, you will proactively support Puddledub’s reputation as a one of the country’s leading food producers.
