**About the Role**

Delivering social work education is a dynamic process requiring the experience and expertise of suitably qualified professionals to work in partnership with service users and carers and a range of agency and other stakeholders to deliver the best possible experience to future social workers.

As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Social Work, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our qualifying and post-qualifying provision, contributing to Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

Ideally, you will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework.

**About You**

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in social work, you will have recent and very good teaching experience on qualifying social work programmes or significant experience in practice, underpinned by a sound working knowledge of social work theory and methods.

You will be a qualified social worker currently registered with Social Work England. A background in adult social work with supporting qualifications and experience would be an advantage.

Please note, an enhanced DBS check is a requirement during pre-employment clearances.
