**Territory Sales Manager - Northern Home Counties**

**£32,000 PA salary plus bonus, fully expensed company car and fuel card plus benefits**

**Remote based**

Reporting to the Northern/Southern Area Field Sales Manager

Northern based manufacturer and supplier. (Wholesale and Independent markets)

The role is field based, working with wholesalers and independents to ensure our ranges meet the display briefs, to include training of the product ranges within stores, practices and garden centres. Working to a pre-set journey plan covering set calls perday.

The role is based over five days per week.

No experience necessary, just a friendly outgoing personality with the ability to work independently and to build sound working relationships with customers and colleagues.

Safeguard the company designs, formulations, processes, and reputation in all matters.

**_Key Accountabilities: _**
- Working to an agreed call cycle, ensure all customers on your journey plan are visited.
- Merchandise products to Company Planograms and dress displays with company POS
- Gain additional shelf space either on fixture or using display stands.
- Train in-store staff on our Branded product range
- Work in conjunction with Telesales to co-ordinate training and merchandising within the Telesales account base.
- Negotiate extensions to product range and agree local promotional activity in line with the company promotion plan.
- Process transfer orders when required.
- Complete customer account records after each call
- Accurately prepare and file weekly report showing key performance indicators, summarising achievements, and confirming the following week’s objectives.
- Ensure frequent and accurate trade intelligence is reported.
- Working to an agreed call cycle, ensure all customers within a set geographical area are visited.
- Achieve are budgeted sales and volume targets.
- Establish relationships with key wholesalers and retailers to drive sales.
- Negotiate extensions to product range, agree local promotional activity and gain additional in store shelf space.
- Identify customers to be allocated to telesales.
- Complete customer account records after each call (circ. 7 per day)
- Accurately prepare and file weekly report showing key performance indicators, summarising achievements, and confirming following weeks objectives.
- Exercise good financial control to ensure that customer account expenditure and territory costs are within budget and debtors are reviewed weekly.
- Ensure frequent and accurate trade intelligence is reported.

**_Qualifications/Knowledge & Skills:_**

**(Essential)**
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong negotiator
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan effectively.

**(Desirable)**
- Previous Field Sales experience in a related channel
