Global Rahmah Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and support to communities in need around the world. We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a Fundraising Mosque Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in building community relations through mosque engagement. As the Fundraising Mosque Assistant your role will be crucial in the development, management, and execution of various fundraising campaigns throughout the year in mosques and organisations. you will take on a strategic leadership position, coordinating and overseeing fundraising activities within mosques and organisations.Your position as Mosque Assistant will be instrumental in fostering community relations through mosque engagement. Your primary focus will involve establishing, coordinating, and nurturing relationships with stakeholders within Muslim communities to establish a strong presence in mosques across the UK. Working within the Events and Fundraising department, your ability to function effectively as part of a team will be essential. Fundraising at mosques holds a central place in GRF's fundraising strategy, so you should feel comfortable speaking in public before congregations and be willing to travel frequently to meet with community leaders and facilitate partnerships.

**Responsibilities**:
**Stakeholder management**:
Identify and map mosques within key target areas for potential collaboration

Developing a comprehensive database of mosques and organisations for fundraising purposes.

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with mosque leaders and community members

Crafting and implementing an engagement and retention plan to strengthen fundraising relationships with mosques and organisations

Coordinate and conduct visits to mosques to foster relationships

Monitor and evaluate the progress of mosque collaborations, tracking key metrics and providing regular reports

**Fundraising**:
Work closely with the Fundraising team to implement fundraising strategies and initiatives

Organise fundraising activities at mosques, including during Friday prayers, overlooking planning and execution

Collaborate with the team to develop and implement fundraising strategies involving mosques in order to maximise their impacts

Securing bookings for collections during Ramadan and other campaigns throughout the year.

Organising events and tours for mosques to foster community engagement.

Ensuring that all available fundraising opportunities are efficiently utilised and maintained at agreed levels of return on investment.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Event Management, Marketing, or Nonprofit Management preferred) or equivalent work experience.

Previous experience in event planning, fundraising, or a related field is highly desirable.

Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages for different stakeholders

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with donor management software is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Passion for philanthropy, humanitarian work, and making a positive impact in the community.

Driving licence, and the ability to travel frequently to mosques and attend events outside of regular work hours, as required

Knowledge of the Muslim community and cultural sensitivity is highly desirable

£19,000 - £22,000 annual, depending on experience
