- Duties & Responsibilities

**Purpose**

To support the manufacturing operational function in the production of manufactured products, ensuring work is carried out in a safe and effective manner whilst adhering to Company policies and procedures_._

**Functions**

ESSENTIAL
- Performs technical work tasks requiring moderate technical experience.
- Checks in with supervisors routinely, successfully completes tasks as requested, and begins to think independently about solutions for recurring problems.
- Problems and issues faced are routine and may include moderate technical troubleshooting.
- Takes initiative to develop additional knowledge of the technical area.
- Displays professional communication and listening skills.
- Production Operatives will ensure and encourage their dedicated team to adhere to all Oceaneering’s safety policies & procedures, inclusive of Oceaneering’s Life saving rules. Safe Start behaviors will be demonstrated by the Lead Operator and encouraged to the whole team daily. Production Operatives to take part in a Toolbox Talk daily with all dedicated personnel and ensure any risk assessment is read, understood & signed by all personnel. STOP trained Production Operatives must complete at least one stop audit per week.
- Production Operatives must take ownership for the wellbeing, behaviors and performance of all dedicated personnel and will ensure any change to personnel on the process has been covered through the TBT & JSEA.
- Production Operatives will assist the Manufacturing Foreman in any incident investigation on the process by ensuring that the area is secure to prevent a repeat injury. HS0020 Incident Management Level 3 procedure will be followed effectively and expediently and will include detailed information using the who, where, why, what, when method.
- Production Operatives will be made aware of daily performance targets and will responsible for achieving them and highlighting any issues that may prevent to Manufacturing Foreman.
- Production Operatives will take ownership in highlighting to other functions (maintenance, QA, electrical test) any issues that will cost downtime, Production Operatives will drive time scales and ownership for process start ups at start of shift, end of shift and break times.
- Production Operatives will highlight any improvement areas to improve production schedules.
- Production Operatives will help ensure all checks are completed prior to start up using the clean sweep technique to assure product quality.
- Production Operatives will highlight to Process Engineering & Manufacturing Foreman any improvements to help product quality.
- Production Operatives will ensure all data is recorded within the production package.
- Production Operatives will ensure all data logging on the process is accurate, complete and documented throughout the shift.
- Production Operatives will take ownership in reporting any non conformances to the QA team directly and immediately, then in a timely manner to Manufacturing Foreman ensuring 'lessons learned' as appropriate.
- Production Operatives will assist QA in non conformance investigations to ensure correct problem statements are recorded and such matters dealt with expediently.
- Production Operatives will take part in Engineering Handovers & Design Reviews so any issues can be highlighted early.
- Production Operatives will take help organize of any reel/equipment requirements for the next task to ensure efficient changeovers.
- Ability to follow instructions set out by Manufacturing Foreman
- Positive attitude and constructive approach to work including flexibility to work alternative hours and/or shift rotations as and when reasonably required. where possible.Adequate notice will be provided but dependent upon business needs, customer requirements and any constraints applying
- Able to effectively follow guidelines set out by the Manufacturing Forman.
- Able to both work effectively as part of a team and, where required, work using their own initiative.
- Able to engage effectively with other colleagues and stakeholders including other departments and third parties as/when required to meet job requirements.
