Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose

To provide document control support to business.

Functions

Below is a list of typical tasks carried out as part of the Document Controller role, other duties may be assigned.

·Registration of incoming and outgoing correspondence from the engineering department to and from clients and the updating/issuing of project specific master document lists.

·Taking ownerships for multiple client Projects and ensuring the effective on-time coordination of project documentation and records.

·Interpretation of client specifications and compilation of documentation packages for all contracts.

·Provide Document Control Support to small, fast track projects and sales activities.

·Maintenance of database for Goods Receipt Notes

·Creation and control of on and offsite storage systems for SDS-R archive files

·Assist Quality Manager, Project and Process Quality Engineering Teams as required.

·Maintenance and creation of Training Manuals

·Scanning and Photocopying of Documents and Data Books as required

·Collating Material Certification required for Data Books and Stock items.

·Identification of and engagement in continuous improvement projects associated with standardisation and simplification of processes.

·Formal qualification in administration e.g. HNC in business administration.
