The role

We’re really excited to be developing new support services for children and young people with disabilities. To start we’ll be providing short break support, caring for children in their own homes or supporting them to access activities in their local area.

We’re looking for experienced and enthusiastic Enabling Support Workers to join our new service

As one of our Enabling Support Workers you will:

- Work with the Service Managers to create and deliver new support services for children and young people with disabilities.
- Develop good relationships with children, their parents/carers and the other professionals working with them.
- Provide support in the homes and local communities of the children and young people we support.
- Enable the children and young people we support to flourish and lead fulfilled lives.

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for someone with experience working with children and young people in health and social care. We would like someone who wants to progress as there will be development opportunities with this role as the service grows.

Essential criteria:

- Level 2 or 3 Qualifications relevant to health and social care or child care OR Willingness to complete relevant qualifications.
- Experience of working with children with disabilities.
- Experience of caring for children.
- Fun, friendly and good at making children laugh

Desirable criteria:

- Level 3 (or above) qualification in Health and Social Care or Child Care
- Level 2 (or above) qualifications in English and Maths.
- Previous experience working as a support worker or childcare practitioner.
- Car driver with access to own vehicle.
