Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team in our Cafe Bar. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. If you have a passion for culinary arts and enjoy creating mouthwatering dishes, we would love to hear from you.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets quality standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute meal preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role essential
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Note: This is a paid position.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Every weekend
- Weekend availability
