Chef's Waste Oils specialises in the collection and recycling of waste vegetable cooking oils from food businesses such as restaurants, hotels, cafes and takeaways.

Once the used cooking oils arrive back at our site, they go through a process of weighing, sorting, decanting/tipping from oil barrels, filtering, heating and pumping, etc.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a hard working person to join our small yet ambitious team at our busy depot in Bickerstaffe, Ormskirk, L39.

It can be hard physical work at times, and does involve working outdoors alot of the time at our yard / depot. Vans need unloading, oil drums need palletising, trucks need unloading & reloading, oil drums need cleaning and washing, vans need washing, waste oil tins and tubs need emptying and crushing, etc. It's a busy job, you can get wet and oily at times, but we are well organised and good at what we do.

Forklift driving experience and a forklift license is not necessary but would be preferred. A full clean driving license and also experience of driving a large van would also be preferred as we would like somebody who could cover for our waste oil collection driver when needed.

You must be a hard working, team player who can respect management yet work to your own initiative. You must be the type of person who is happy to get mucky, get your hands dirty and get stuck into each working day with a positive attitude.

**Usual working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, 42.5 guaranteed hours per week. No weekend work, and we don't usually open / work on bank holidays.**

It goes without saying that you must be reliable and punctual. If you don't fit all of the criteria as described above then please don't waste ours and your own time applying. Full training and uniforms will be provided along with 28 days paid holiday per annum and a usual workplace pension scheme is in place. Career progression within the company and extra skills training will also be available for the right person.
