The Cambridge Dialysis Unit is located in Fen Ditton, Cambridge. You will be employed by Cambridge University Hospital working in partnership with Fresenius Medical Care. The 36 bedded satellite unit compromises of 32 stations and 4 isolation rooms, dialysing chronic long term dialysis patients from in and around the Cambridge area and providing holiday dialysis for patients from other areas.

The role will involve working in a health care environment, looking after dialysis dependent patients, working alongside skilled and knowledgeable nursing staff, whilst learning some of the key specialist skills in order that you can help with dialysis treatment. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to assist the existing nursing staff in the preparing, carrying out and finishing of the patient's dialysis treatment. The successful applicants must have an interest in working and learning new skills in a clinical environment and be willing to work a variety of shifts whilst completing any level three competencies. An in-house training programme is in place to bring the applicants up to speed for working in the unit. This is a busy and rewarding post for anyone interested.

You will be working in a caring, friendly, and supportive environment. The team at CDC recently won the first CUH annual Team of the Year award. The team at CDC is invested in your learning and development to enhance the care of the patients who attend the dialysis unit.
