As Network Planner you will play a key role in future growth and decisions around how and where we deploy our future network.

Responsible for business-wide FTTP Network Planning from GOST plan phases to High-Level and Low-Level Design (HDL) you will help mitigate risk ready for surveying. As Head Office Network planner, you will provide support to regional planning and build teams whilst reporting to the Technical Design Team Leader

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Complete GOST plans ready for the design phase to issue to the region.
- Conduct basic land ownership searches to support the right to build without permission.
- Conduct utility searches to support the ability to build in desired locations.
- Map PON areas and spur off’s where necessary and dependent on locations
- Manually create straight line diagram (VISIO) and fibre allocation sheets/ splicing schedule for PON areas
- Outline the backhaul connection and highlight it in the GOST plan.
- Present risk of GOST plans to build a team ready for survey.
- Carry out competent FTTP distribution network design using PIA data and desktop survey (high-level design - HLD)
- Provide overall regional support to regional planning and build teams.
- Cover ad-hoc responsibilities and requested by the Technical Design Team Leader

**Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Deep understanding of the creation, allocation, and scheduling of PON areas
- Previous experience conducting utility searches.
- Desirable knowledge of land ownership searches
- Detailed knowledge and experience with Microsoft software (Excel, VISIO, PowerPoint)
- In-depth knowledge and proven experience using QGIS or similar GIS systems
- Understanding of industry-standard splicing and Fibre allocation methodologies
- Knowledge of PON planning in underground and overhead delivery.
- Working within Openreach regulations - Desirable
- Knowledge of FTTP methodologies and design
- Ability to analyse information and make informed decisions based on live data.
- Track record of managing workloads to specific deadlines
- Ability to draw together different technical disciplines
